This scene is the beginning of a duel between one bull elk and one bull bison. The duel lasted 15-20 minutes and occurred on September 29, 2006. To my knowledge and research, this is the only photographic record of such an occurence. This photo represents a "stitch" of five individual photos that were taken by Kevin E. Pack, showing the sequence of events.
